Haskell Antiques
has been in business since 1968 in Santa Barbara, California. We are
specialists in 17th and 18th Century, Spanish and Spanish Colonial
antiques, as well as early Italian items. We also handle old American
Indian items and Pre-Columbian Art.
Michael Haskell, has traveled extensively in Mexico, Central America
and South America researching Spanish Colonial Decorative Arts and
has wide knowledge in his field.
Michael was the Curator of the 1996 exhibition "Symbols of Status",
Spanish Colonial Silver at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, and
was author of the accompanying catalogue. As well as being the Co-Curator
for the Exhibition "Visions Of Life", Plains Indian Art at The Santa
Barbara Museum Of Art. In addition, he has served as consultant and
appraiser to many Museums and Institutions. Michael Haskell Antiques
carries an extensive inventory of period 17th and 18th furniture,
textiles, religious art, ceramics, silver and lighting as well as
architectural items such as early doors, window grills, stone work,
and fragments.
Michaels son
Eric Haskell manages day to day operation of the gallery and is there
to help you with any questions and concerns. Eric has a degress in
History of Art and Architecture, as well as Communications from University
of California at Santa Barbara.
